In recent days, Storm Dana has caused devastation in eastern Spain. Between October 28 and 29, this storm hit the Valencia region and surrounding areas with heavy rainfall and flooding. Homes have been submerged, infrastructure has been damaged, and many families have lost their homes. Tragically, more than 51 lives have been lost, and many are still missing.
As Amaru Homes, we want to express our support for the affected families and issue an urgent call: let’s come together to help those who have lost everything!
How you can help:
- Donate goods: Organizations such as the Spanish Red Cross urgently need food, water, clothing, and hygiene products. Please deliver your donations to the collection points established by the municipalities in Valencia and surrounding areas, or donate through their websites.
- Support for the homeless: Do you have a home that you can temporarily offer? Various local authorities are looking for housing options for families who have lost their homes. You can offer your house through municipal websites or aid organization portals that have been specially set up for this disaster.
- Help for pets: The storm has also had a devastating impact on animals. Many pets have been lost or need assistance. Animal shelters in Valencia urgently need food, blankets, and medical supplies. Your donation can help support both shelter and stray animals.
- Financial donations: Organizations like Caritas, LionsSpain, and Save the Children Spain are collecting funds for direct emergency assistance. With your contribution, they can provide emergency shelter, medical care, and basic necessities for affected families.
